The idea for notes to self socks came to founder Laura Schmidt while she was looking at her feet during a family road trip. As she watched the scenery roll by, Laura began to think about one of her favorite topics, positive affirmation and how the subconscious mind is most receptive in the morning and late at night. At that moment, she declared to her husband that she was going to create socks with messages on the toes that empower the wearer.
